The Coral Gables Garden Club has established a scholarship to encourage the development of research, documentation and teaching skills in the field of horticulture. The scholarship is open to undergraduates, graduate students, advanced degree candidates, or non-degree-seeking applicants above the high school level.

The Scholarship funds one or more scholarships annually at $2,500 each to support study at an accredited college, university or major botanic garden or arboretum in Florida. Projects may include but are not restricted to plant propagation, photographic documentation of studies and research projects, the acquisition of skills for working with horticulture collections and research in horticulture in the broadest sense. Successful applicants may apply for a second year od study.

Applications must be received at CGGC in Coral Gables by February 10 preceding the period of study. Selection is by members of the CGCA Scholarship Committee.
